Ski Club

Folwell Ski Club

It’s not too late! Fourth and fifth grade students can still register for the Folwell Ski Club until this Friday, December 14, 2012.

This is a great opportunity for kids to get out on a Friday night, and it is fun for both beginners and experienced skiers/snowboarders.

We ride a coach bus to Coffee Mill after school on ski evenings, and there are always many adults from several schools skiing with the kids.

Also, Coffee Mill offers additional lesson for beginners.

To register, go to the Community Education website and click on the Ski Club button, or stop into the office at Northrup.

Come have a great time!

Box Tops

We Need Your Boxtops for Education!
Collecting boxtops at home is a free and easy way to support Folwell students.  The best way to bring boxtops to school is to paste them to one of the sheets sent home with your child.  If you need a sheet, the link below has three of them for you to choose from.  These boxtops will be collected throughout the entire year!

Scrip Orders

Folwell PTSA/5th Grade Trip Gift Card Fundraiser

The Gift Card Fundraiser is a great way to help Folwell PTSA raise money to support the 5th grade trip, and you don't have to spend any more money than you normally would with your everyday shopping! This kind of program is sometimes known as "scrip". We purchase the gift cards for all of our Folwell families in a large bulk order, and the participating retailers give us a percentage of the face value to keep for our PTSA, up to 15% or more! For example, a Chipotle gift card purchased for $10 is worth the full value of $10 when spent at Chipotle, but the Folwell PTSA will get 10% of the total, or $1. The money adds up quickly! You earn money for our school without spending a single additional penny!

Click below for information on how to complete an order!
The file below states a "due date" as November 27th.  We will continue to accept gift card orders until winter break.  To be a part of our next order, please turn in your form by next Friday, December 7th.

Bear Creek Cookie Classic

Bear Creek Services Needs Cookies and Appetites!
For the past eight school years groups of students have been visiting Bear Creek Services for a Thanksgiving dinner.  Bear Creek is a non-profit residential program for adults with disabilities.  This year the two Folwell fifth grade classes spent a great evening getting to know several of the residents of Bear Creek.  The fifth grade team hopes that you will consider helping us give back to Bear Creek by donating a dozen or more cookies for a fundraiser that will help their programs continue to grow and reach many Rochester residents.  For more information on donating cookies or attending the December 8th sale, please click on the link below!
