Health staff have observed an increase of
*influenza-like-illness* being reported at Folwell. During this time I would
encourage extra hand-washing and sanitizing commonly used areas, when possible.
Help to remind others the single most preventable way to stop the spread
of contamination is to wash your hands. Most importantly,
please keep your child home if he/she experiences any
influenza-like symptoms.
* Influenza-like illness (ILI) is defined as a fever
of 100.0°F or greater and cough or sore throat (in the absence of a known
disease other than influenza). Obtained from Minnesota Department of Health.
