Traffic Update

There was a lengthy discussion regarding the traffic concerns at Folwell during today's PTSA meeting. Currently, all traffic signs need to be followed. There are plans being discussed for the future, but at this time city parking signage must be followed. On days when we have special events at Folwell, we do inform the police department of possible conflicts and they will not write tickets. Repeat, there will be no tickets written when attending the music concerts.

Music Concerts

Reminder that we have two concerts left during the month of March. Grades 2/3 will be Monday, March 16, starting at 10:00. We ask that people attending enter through Door 2 and it will be unlocked starting at 9:30. Grades 4/5 concert will take place on Tuesday, March 24, starting at 2:00 and door 2 will be opened at 1:30 for entrance. All concerts are being recorded by RITS and will be aired on the District Channel at a later date.

First Tee

Our students were treated to having two local golf professionals assisting Mr. Stanek with golf activities during their Physical Education classes this week. William "Watty" Watson is Head Golf Professional at Hadley Creek and is a certified First Tee Head Coach. Mike Manahan is the new Head Golf Professional at Northern Hills. The First Tee delivers very affordable opportunities for children to learn the game of golf while also demonstrating the 9 core values of the program: honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy and judgment. I am attaching their summer brochure for course offerings. Feel free to contact "Watty" with any questions. Contact information can be found on the brochure. They will also be present at the Folwell Carnival on Friday, May 8. Pictures and videos can be found on the Folwell Twitter account. #folwellfirsttee
