Freezin' for a Reason

Want to see your teachers

In an effort to support the Special Olympics, 15 members of the
Folwell staff will be plunging into the frigid waters of Foster-Arend pond on:
 Saturday, February 13, 2016!

During the week of February 1 - 5, money will be collected in each classroom.  Student Council members will collect all forms of currency (coins, bills or checks made payable to the Special Olympics) each morning and a running total will be posted in the front foyer of the building.
In order for all 15 teachers to plunge, we need to raise at least $1125.00
(but more would be great)!

Pledges can also be made online by visiting:

Pledges can be made to individual staff members or the team as a whole, but each member of the team needs to raise at least $75.00 to jump, so we need to spread the wealth and make sure each teacher has at least that much!

Folwell Follies

We are so excited for Folwell Follies tomorrow! Here are some guidelines for the daytime performance.

Parking will be south of the school, on 15th Ave, or East of 14th Ave on 7th St .  The parking at the back of the school will not be available.  If you park on 7th St, between 14th and 15th Ave, this is the “load and go” zone, and if cars are still parked by student dismissal, they may be ticketed.

All visitors, please enter Door #1.  You will be asked to sign in and wear a visitor badge.

In the event that you will be bringing your child or children home with you following the performance, you will have an opportunity to sign them out prior to the event.

Doors will open at 1:00 and seating will begin at 1:15.

After the program, students will be dismissed to their classrooms.  We ask that families remain in the cafeteria.  Your child or children will return to the cafeteria and you may exit the building using Door #2.

Thank you for your cooperation and support!

Folwell Families,
It has come to our attention that some families did not receive a school directory in November.  Each family should have one directory.  It was sent home with the youngest child in each family.  If you did not receive one, please contact me at

Thank you,
Colleen Timimi
