Greetings
Folwell Elementary Families!
There’s
still time to join the team!!! Folwell Elementary began their annual
service learning project and officially kicked-off Jump Rope for Heart with the
American Heart Association this year!! We have been having so much
fun! Our envelopes are due soon, so now is the time to jump on
board.
The
heart health of our students at Folwell Elementary is very important to
us. Jump Rope for Heart is a program specifically designed to promote
heart health in our students while also providing them an important opportunity
to help other people. Our goal this year is to have 100% of our
students join our team page and commit to a health challenge: be
physically active 60 minutes a day, choose water over sugar sweetened
beverages, or eat more fruits and veggies. So far, we have 44 students
registered – WOW!!! If you haven’t registered, don’t worry, we’ve still
got room on the team!
Please take a moment and help your student join our team
by clicking on this link: Folwell
Elementary
When
students join, they will receive a glow in the
dark wristband to thank them for
taking the pledge to be healthy. Should your family choose to support
this cause with donations, you may make a donation on this page and you can
share the opportunity with family and friends via email, ecards, social media
or event text message. This really helps drive the mission of the
AHA and lets others know all the good that is happening in our school.
Our
goal is to have every student join our team and take a health pledge - Be
more physically active, choose water over sugar sweetened beverage, or eat more
fruits and veggies. We can do this!!
Thank
you so much for supporting our school and the American Heart Association!
Thank
you,
Mr. Smiley
