Folwell Family Survey Letter for "Return to Learn Model" 2020-21

 Hello, Folwell Families!

Rochester Public Schools sent out communication on Friday announcing the proposal for the Return to Learn Model to begin the 2020-21 school year:

  • Most elementary students (Pre K - grade 5) and Lincoln K-8 students will receive face-to-face instruction two days per week and distance learning three days per week.

  • Most secondary students (grades 6 - 12) will participate in distance learning five days per week. There will be opportunities for secondary students to receive in-person support by appointment, in areas such as academics, technology, and mental health.

Rochester Public Schools are also asking each family to fill out a brief technology, meals and child care needs assessment. This was sent out on Friday.  Families should complete an assessment for each child enrolled at RPS. For example, if you have two children enrolled, you would fill out the form for child one, and submit. Then, you would complete the form for child two. Click to complete the NEEDS ASSESSMENT, if you have not already done so.  Families are asked to complete both of these forms by 4 p.m. on Thursday, August 13.

In addition, Folwell is also preparing for students to return for the first day of school on Wednesday, September 2 for Group A and Thursday, September 3 for Group B.  To help finalize class lists, we ask that you complete this BRIEF FOLWELL SURVEY  to share the intention for each child for returning to school for the 2020-21 school year..  Families are asked to also complete this second form by 4 p.m. on Thursday, August 13.

Again, here are the links for your convenience:
